I hadn’t taken French since Middle School when I took it for the First time in university and I was very worried. However, with lots of Duolingo, practice and an amazing teacher, I was able to come out more confident than I ever imagined. Here are some lesson plans, unit plans and resources I made for the French classroom. During my math course and throughout these resources the standard “Educators engage in career-long learning.” is quite prominent. I actively participated in a class I had no knowledge of and learned a language that was pretty much new to me. This shows my willingness to learn throughout my career and always challenge myself to new adventures. This also showcases my growth mindset which is a UVIC teacher competency. I did not start off amazing at French and it was a learning journey throughout, however, I persevered through and ended with a 98% in the course. We can do anything we set our minds to!
